About the Bursary Provider – Gold One
Gold One Group Limited is a Southern Africa-based mining group specializing in gold operations and prospects. Its flagship Modder East Operation, near Johannesburg, is notable for shallow-depth mining, unlike many traditional South African gold mines. Commissioned in 2009, Modder East has become a benchmark in the region’s mining industry, symbolizing Gold One’s commitment to innovation, safety, and community engagement. Through bursary initiatives, the company extends its mission by supporting the next generation of mining and engineering professionals who will uphold and enhance this legacy of excellence.
Quick Tip for Matriculants & Students
Gold One loves applicants who show real passion for mining and community impact. In your motivation (even if not asked), explain how this qualification will help solve local challenges like better infrastructure or job creation in Ekurhuleni. If you’re in Matric, aim for strong results in Maths, Physical Sciences, and English — they matter a lot for engineering fields. Pair this bursary with NSFAS if eligible for extra support!
