What the Bursary Covers

The Southern African Transport Conference Bursary 2025 provides a generous, tax-free amount of R170,000 for one academic year. This financial support will be paid directly to your university in two equal installments:

  • First Installment: February 2025
  • Second Installment: July 2025

Note: The bursary is renewable each year based on satisfactory academic progress.

Southern African Transport Conference Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Southern African Transport Conference Bursary 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship: South African citizen or a national from one of the SADC countries (e.g., Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, etc.).
  • Academic Enrollment: Admitted or currently studying full-time towards a Master’s or Doctoral research component in Transportation.
  • Institution: Enrolled at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa. Check out University Bursaries
  • Financial Status: Not receiving any other bursaries, scholarships, awards, or funding.
  • Agreement: Must read and agree to the conditions outlined in the bursary application form.
