What the Bursary Covers & Selection
The Capitec bursary is a performance-based award covering:
- Full tuition and registration fees
- Campus or private accommodation allowance
- A laptop allowance (first-year recipients)
- Books and stationery allowance
- Graduate Programme Entry: Successful graduates may be fast-tracked into the Capitec Graduate Development Programme.
Selection: The process involves an initial screening, an online assessment (focused on logic and problem solving), and a final interview with Capitec’s HR and technical teams.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for 2026, you must meet these requirements:
- South African citizen
- Currently in Grade 12 (Matric) or 1st/2nd year of university
- Must have a minimum of 60% average (Grade 12 must have 70% for Maths)
- Must be pursuing a degree relevant to Capitec’s business needs
- Interest in relocating to Stellenbosch or Johannesburg for work-back periods
