The Globeleq Education Trust offers comprehensive financial support to help you focus on what’s important—your education:

  • Tuition and Registration Fees: All your academic fees are fully covered.

  • Accommodation and Meals: Support for living expenses, whether you’re in residence or living off-campus.

Selection Process and Important Dates

  • Application Confirmation: You’ll receive a confirmation email once your application is received.
  • Shortlisting: If shortlisted, you’ll be invited for an interview to discuss your aspirations.
  • Final Selection: Successful applicants will be notified by 31 January 2025. If you haven’t heard back by then, please consider your application unsuccessful.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Globeleq Education Trust Bursary South Africa 2025, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
  • Education: Currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
  • Field of Study: Studying or intending to study full-time within a STEM-related field (Higher Certificate, Diploma, Degrees, or equivalent NQF-rated qualification).

  • Interest in Renewable Energy: A keen interest in the renewable energy sector.
  • Employment Status: Unemployed and not planning to work full-time or part-time in 2025. Must not have worked full-time before 2025.

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Ensure you have certified copies (less than 3 months old) of the following:

  • ID Document
  • Matric Certificate or Matric Term 2 Report (if currently in Matric, with school stamp)
  • Academic Transcripts: Latest official transcripts or institution report (if currently studying)
  • Proof of Registration or Acceptance Letter for 2025
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): Highlight your education and any relevant experience
  • Motivational Statement: Briefly explain why you’ve chosen your field of study, your future plans, and how Globeleq will benefit by funding you (1-2 pages)
  • Recommendation Letter: From someone who can attest to your character or academic performance (not a family member or friend)
  • Parental or Guardian Documents:
    • ID Documents or Death Certificates
    • Proof of Household Income (payslips, affidavit if unemployed, or SASSA grant documents)
  • Consent Form: If under 18, a signed consent form by your parent or legal guardian
  • Disability Documentation: If applicable, include the Department of Labour Employment Equity Act (EEA1) Form and a doctor’s letter
  • Other Funding Agreements: If you are funded by another bursary or NSFAS, include the agreement or offer letter
